IOI | First outline of 13th IOI World Conference programme

On 13 May 2024 the 13th IOI World Conference starts in The Hague. The aim of the IOI conference is to focus on what we as Ombudsman can do for citizens to make a better future for all.

The Dutch National Ombudsman, as host, has, selected four themes. These themes have been explored with the IOI Regions in online meetings. These meetings were highly inspiring and fruitful and have provided many topics that should be addressed during the conference. The National Ombudsman has been kindly assisted in this by the New Zealand Ombudsman for their region.

There is now a first outline of the conference programme in which the themes of inclusiveness and outreach to vulnerable and marginalized groups have been combined.

The themes are now:

  • Climate Change & Living Conditions
  • Value Dilemmas
  • Inclusiveness & Reaching Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups
  • Future Generations

You can find the conference programme here and for your information, the early bird registration fee has been extended to the end of January. You can register here.
